I can always have this unit with me, paying no attention to its operation. If I am exposed to a high RF field strength, the unit will notify me properly.
  • What is radio frequency?
Radiofrequency (RF) is the oscillation rate of an alternating electric current or voltage or a magnetic, electric, or electromagnetic field or mechanical system in the frequency[1] range from around 20 kHz to around 300 GHz. This is roughly between the upper limit of audio frequencies and the lower limit of infrared frequencies and also encompasses the microwave range. However, other definitions treat microwaves as a separate band from RF. These are the frequencies at which energy from an oscillating current can radiate off a conductor into space as radio waves, so they are used in radio technology, among other uses. Different sources specify different upper and lower bounds for the frequency range. Read More On Wikipedia
  • Why is radio frequency dangerous?
Exposure to very high RF intensities can result in the heating of biological tissue and an increase in body temperature. Tissue damage in humans could occur during exposure to high RF levels because of the body's inability to cope with or dissipate the excessive heat that could be generated. During the last two decades, hundreds of epidemiological and laboratory studies proved that RF electromagnetic radiation may pose substantial health effects even at power density levels orders of magnitude lower than the ones causing the tissue heating. The mechanisms of such effects are more complicated but in essence, the pulsed electromagnetic radiation signals are detected inside the body and create the internal voltages and currents that disrupt the electric intercell communication. This leads to the disruption of normal living body functionality, burdens the immune system, and reduces its natural ability to repair the damage caused by the ionizing radiation, chemicals, and sporadic mutations, present in the natural environment. • Is radio frequency dangerous for pregnancy?
Pregnancy is a time when development is most vulnerable. Wireless radiation and electromagnetic fields are part of a growing list of environmental exposures thought to interfere with normal fetal brain development. Published research has found impaired communication skills, memory and learning deficits, congenital heart disease, and behavioral problems associated with prenatal exposures. Read More
  • Can radiofrequency radiation cause cancer?
A growing body of scientific evidence links cell phone radiofrequency (RF) radiation to a broad range of harmful effects at legally allowed levels including cancer, memory damage, and impacts on brain development, the endocrine system, thyroid function, reproduction, and DNA/genetic damage ( Panagopoulos et al. 2021, Lai 2021,Smith-Roe et al. 2020, Davis et al 2023, ICBE-EMF 2022, Lai and Levitt 2022, Hardell and Carlberg 2017, Miller et al. 2018, Belpomme et al 2018, Directorate-General for Parliamentary Research Services European Parliament 202, Hardell and Carlberg 2017). • Health effects of Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Fields (RF EMF)
The possible adverse health effects of exposure to RF EMF are a source of great concern not only among mobile phone users and people living near the base stations, but also among governmental and non-governmental organizations responsible for public health. Although EMF exposures related to mobile phone use are well within the current safety standards, it should be noted that these standards have been based solely on the expected thermal effects of EMF, disregarding any possible non-thermal effects. Numerous studies are currently undertaken to explain the potential health effects of weak, “non-thermal” radiofrequency electromagnetic fields. Read more
  • How safe are mobile and portable phones?
Consistent evidence from experimental research, epidemiological studies and in vitro (cells) laboratory, and in vivo (animal) studies indicates that radio frequency radiation exposure from cell phones and wireless devices is associated with impacts on reproduction including: Reduced sperm count Reduced sperm motility and concentration Damaged sperm DNA Altered sperm cell structure Increased erectile dysfunction decreased testosterone The published science has led researchers to conclude “it is recommended to keep the cell phone away from the pelvis as much as possible Read more
  • Are cellular and other radio towers near homes or schools safe for residents and students?
Cell towers have wireless antennas that emit radio frequency (RF) non-ionizing radiation. When these antennas are close to our homes and schools, our daily exposure to RF radiation is increased. RF radiation is considered a new form of environmental pollution. Effects from RF documented in scientific research include increased cancer risk, cellular stress, headaches, sleep issues, genetic damage, changes to the reproductive system, memory deficits, and impacts on the nervous system. There is a growing number of countries and states in the USA where there is a ban on the deployment of cellphone towers close to school grounds and kindergartens and W--Fi routers inside school buildings. Many schools already prohibited the use of cell phones by students during school hours, and many more will follow suit soon. Read more
  • What is 5G Radiation?
In telecommunications, 5G is the fifth-generation technology standard for cellular networks, which cellular phone companies began deploying worldwide in 2019, and is the successor to 4G technology that provides connectivity to most current mobile phones. While there are plenty of innovations incorporated into 5G communication protocols that reduce unnecessary RF power waste and environmental RF pollution, the very nature of 5G communication requires higher microwave frequencies (MW) to provide a wider bandwidth for greater communication speed. Because MW frequencies propagate in space more like beams of light, their application requires the installation of small communication towers every 100-300 feet. This brings the cellphone towers even closer to the users' living quarters, creating the possibility of greater RF exposure. Another distinction of the 5G technology, using the MW frequencies is - the higher operating frequencies have smaller "skin" depth, the depth of the tissue volume where most of the RF energy is absorbed. Because of that, compared to 4G and older technologies, the same RF exposure will create much higher volumetric power density, affecting the "surface" located human organs, like eyes and genitals. • What is EMF?
𝐄𝐌𝐅 stands for electromagnetic frequency. This refers to the invisible energy waves given off by power lines, cellphones, microwaves, Wi-Fi routers, computers, and other electronic appliances, as well as natural sources such as the sun. Some devices give off more than others. A CT scan, for example, gives off an awful lot more EMFs than a baby monitor. Learn More About EMF
